Family therapy at Nurtured Minds Toowoomba is grounded in a child-centred, trauma-informed framework. Therapy focuses on strengthening emotional safety, improving communication, and supporting children to adjust to changing family dynamics.
Services include:
• Individual parent intake sessions (each parent separately)
• One-on-one therapeutic sessions with the child or young person
• Parent–child sessions where appropriate
• Whole family sessions to improve communication and emotional safety
• Parenting support and psychoeducation
• Emotional regulation and attachment-informed strategies
• Support during separation and co-parenting transitions
All therapy remains child-focused and developmentally appropriate.
Option 1: Non-Reportable Family Therapy
Therapeutic support without written reporting
This service is suitable for families seeking therapeutic support during separation or parenting transitions without the requirement for a formal written report.
Non-Reportable Family Therapy includes:
• Individual intake session with each parent
• Child-focused therapeutic sessions (where appropriate)
• Parent consultation and guidance
• Family sessions where clinically indicated
• Ongoing emotional support and adjustment strategies
This is a therapeutic service only and does not include written documentation for court or legal proceedings.
Fee: $130 per session (Booked session-by-session)
Option 2: Reportable Family Therapy Program
Structured family therapy with therapeutic report
This structured program is suitable for families requiring child-focused therapeutic documentation for legal or professional purposes, including matters related to parenting arrangements.
The Reportable Family Therapy Program includes:
• Individual intake session with each parent
• Child-focused therapeutic sessions
• Parent–child observation session (where appropriate)
• Structured therapeutic intervention period
• Clinical formulation and risk assessment (where required)
• Formal therapeutic report summarising emotional presentation, child voice, progress, and recommendations
Reports remain therapeutic in nature and reflect observations within the therapeutic context. This service does not provide forensic opinions or custody determinations.
We provide structured, evidence-based programs designed for meaningful, lasting change. Full programs are recommended.
